8. Comparison of ME-Bio and Chemicals

A building has a turbo refrigerator in each of the east and west machine rooms. Water quality inspection items are omitted.

(1)ME-Bio was loaded, and the electron-wave water treatment unit was installed on a 900-kW system. (Photos 1 and 2)
Photo 1 Photo 2
Installation date: April 7, 1994
Inspection date: Feb. 22, 1995

Results:
Good. No slime deposit on the tube plate.
(2)Conventional chemical was used, and the electron-wave water treatment unit was installed on a 1100-kW system. (Photos 3 and 4)
Photo 3 Photo 4
Installation date: April 7, 1994
Inspection date: Feb. 21, 1995

Results:
Bad. The tube plate does not become dry because of the thick slime deposit. Clearly shown on the lower right is a scrape made by a finger.
(3)Because of the favorable result exhibited in the system loaded with ME-Bio, the chemical use in the 1100-kW system was stopped and ME-Bio was loaded instead. (Photos 5 and 6)

Inspection date: June 17, 1997

Results:
Good. The tube plate is free of slime, so it soon begins to dry from the upper right and left.

9. Characteristics of Aerobic Good Microbes

(1) ME-Bio provides for itself. In the case of general cooling water, therefore, only 1 L (400 g) of ME-Bio needs to be put in a water tank for 500 kW every six months. Usually, ME-Bio materially ceases its activity in about six months even in a favorable environment.

I infer that the faster creatures breathe, the shorter their lives. For one minute, humans breathe 15 times, monkeys 40 times, and snakes 4 times. As compared to humans, the amount of oxygen absorbed per hour is 2- to 10-folds for mold, 20- to 60-folds for colon bacilli, and as much as about 600-folds for azotobactor.
Creatures with higher respiration activity produce more energy, synthesize their body with the greater amount of energy, and therefore proliferate faster.

ME-Bio dwells on a stable bottom or walls of a tank, or on internal tube walls. As it multiplies 3- to 5-times each day (depending on the environment), its number does not decrease even when water is replaced once every daily.

(2)When fish in a pond is given live feed and processed food, it first eats live feed. Wild animals do the same. Likewise, good microbes eat active Legionella bacteria before eating vegetable algae or slime. After ME-Bio is loaded, Legionella bacteria disappear in a few weeks, and again grow gradually in about three months. In fields where Legionella is a great concern, ME-Bio should be loaded every a few months.

(3) Activity temperature 1 to 60 deg. C; pH 6.0 to 9.0; dissolved oxygen >1.8 ppm. These are just guide values. Among the variety of microbes, some quit the scene if the conditions are bad.

The period of storage in a container is six months.

(4) To load ME-Bio, take the powder from the one-liter (400g) regular container into the ME-Bio bag. Then, close the mouth of the bag and place the bag in the tank (Photo7).

When using a large amount, put the powder in a 10 L bag. Where water flows fast or a submerged pump exists nearby, put the bag into a plastic basket (or a stainless steel basket for high-temperature use) and immerse it in the water.
